This is a guide to create a shareable folder on Dropbox.com, providing free downloads for the public. This guide assumes you have intermediate knowledge of navigating web applications. If you need more assistance, google!
How to create a shareable Dropbox link:
1 Visit Dropbox.com, log in, and select “NEW FOLDER” in the right-hand sidebar.
2. Name your folder as the title of your book, then hit “Create.” Side note: if you have multiple titles, you may choose to structure these folders within a folder called “Free e-books” or something like that. This way, you’ll remember not to delete the folder!
3. Upload your .ePub, .mobi, and .pdf file formats of your e-book into the folder. You may also choose to write a note to your readers and include that, as well. Make sure your files are clearly labeled with the title of your book, and your author name.
4. To create a public folder, select the arrow beside “Share folder” in the right-hand sidebar (see above image). A lightbox will pop up asking for an email. You can ignore that, we’re just interested in “Create link” in the bottom-right. Click that.
5. Once you have the link copied, include it in the form to submit your book!
That’s it! Repeat for each book as needed.
